Blessings are meant to be shared

I have several reasons to celebrate this academic year!

For one, I'm again part of the USA faculty. The Department of Languages, thru its chair, Ms Nenelyn dela Fuente has once again invited me to be part of its faculty that will handle eight English subjects in the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education and the College of Pharmacy and Medical Technology. Thank you very much Madam Nenelyn!

Second, I also owe Mr. Ronnie Grabato, Academic Head of STI College Iloilo for he generosity he and the entire STI academic community have extended me.

The generosity that my friends in the academe have extended gave me minor problems such as schedule, class size, and number of preparations.

After a few consideration, I have decided to give up some of my loads. I informed sir Ronnie that I'm giving up, three classes at STI. These classes I have given up, were given to a dear friend Fernan, a former STI faculty member, who now teaches at a Korean school.

As I recall these series of events, I came to realize one very important point. Blessings are meant to be shared.

As a Augustinian, we are taught of several values. Some of these include ordo amoris (order of love) and common good. And considering the loads I have, I don't have any intention of speading myself too thinly over them. Much more that I don't want to sacrifice the quality of teaching I would be imparting to my students. Hence the need to share these "loads of blessings" to friends

After all these blessings should be shared to others.
