This ain't the way love is supposed to go... Para kay Bryan

Mad

She's starin' at me
I'm sittin' wonderin' what she's thinkin'
Nobody's talkin' 'cause talkin' just turns into screamin'
And now it's I'm yellin' over her, she yellin' over me
All that that means is neither of us is listening

And what's even worse?
That we don't even remember why we're fighting
So both of us are mad for

Nothing, fighting for
Nothin', crying for
Nothing, whoa
But we won't let it go for

Nothing, no not for
Nothing, this should be
Nothing to a love like what we got

Oh baby, I know sometimes it's gonna rain
But baby, can we make up now?
'Cause I can't sleep through the pain
Can't sleep through the pain

Girl, I don't wanna go to bed mad at you
And I don't want you to go to bed mad at me
No, I don't wanna go to bed mad at you
And I don't want you to go to bed mad at me
Oh no no no

And it gets me upset
Girl when you're constantly accusing
Askin' questions like you already know
We're fighting this war
Baby when both of us are losing
This ain't the way that love is supposed to go

Whoa, what happened to workin' it out?
We've fall into this place
Where you ain't backin' down and I ain't backin' down
So what the hell do we do now?
It's all for

Nothing, fighting for
Nothing, crying for
Nothing, whoa
But we won't let it go for

Nothing, no not for
Nothing, this should be
Nothing to a love like what we got

Oh baby, I know sometimes it's gonna rain
But baby, can we make up now?
'Cause I can't sleep through the pain
Can't sleep through the pain

Girl, I don't wanna go to bed mad at you
And I don't want you to go to bed mad at me
No, I don't wanna go to bed mad at you
And I don't want you to go to bed mad at me
Oh no no no

Oh, baby this love ain't gonna be perfect
Perfect, perfect, oh oh
And just how good it's gonna be
We can fuss and we can fight
Long as everything's all right between us
Before we go to sleep
Baby, we're gonna be happy, oh

Baby, I know sometimes it's gonna rain
But baby, can we make up now?
'Cause I can't sleep through the pain
Can't sleep through the pain

Girl, I don't wanna go to bed mad at you
And I don't want you to go to bed mad at me
No, I don't wanna go to bed mad at you
And I don't want you to go to bed mad at me
Oh no no no

Personnel Recognition 2009

The 105 year old University of San Agustin recently held a faculty recognition last 21 February 2009 to give recognition to its loyal faculty and staff, who have rendered service for the past 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service. Leading the Service awardees was Ma. Theresa Campos, a retired college instructor and Principal of the Basic Education Department. Ma'am Campos was my mento in Developmental Reading-one major subject i love when i was still in college. Other awardees were my dear friend Sonia Gabutin of the Guidance Services Office, Gemma Halili, the school registrar, Amor Rabuco, my beloved dean, and Carmen Durreza, my colleague in the Research Office.

As part of the USA family, I was present at the event to give support to them. With me were friends Jigs Latoza, and Mona Pico.

A homecoming

Random pictures during my homecoming to the cleanest and greenest municipality in the Philippines - CALINOG!

My Northern Iloilo Trip

I was requested by Ligaya to accompany her and to speak before the graduating students of Culasi National High School in the coastal town of Ajuy in Iloilo. The town was about two hours away from the city. We arrived at around 10:00 am and we were immediately ushered to the hall where our audiences were curiously waiting. I started my spiel by cracking jokes about student life and immediately relate it with my business of the day - to market our college degrees.
The entire encounter was great since the students were very attentive, participative and energetic... Perhaps they were captivated by my charming spe(i)ll. hehehe.
After the talk, we visited our sister school in Barotac Viejo, met the faculty and staff and proceeded to Kites Place, seafood restaurant in Banate. There, we feasted on fresh fish, shrimp, pork and so much gastronomic treats.
We capped the visit with a tour around the restaurant and a rare sighting of LARGE pawikan (sea turtle).

It's over and done!!!

it's a TGIF for STIers in Iloilo since the Pre_final Exam and first batch of thesis defense is over. Monday next week is also a national holiday (Edsa Revo) so it's going to be one hell of a long weekend! I wonder Where's the party tonight????

Noel Edwards and Miguel's Creations at ESCA'S

I was preparing dinner, when i received an unexpected call from noel bedia. that bitchy fagot was inviting me for dinner - again! as expected he's treating his "apple of his eye - a pale, and half-starved scrap of humanity.

Arriving in my plain yellow shirt, maong pants, accentuated with a blue artist cap and a pair of havaianas, I curiously ask noel, “what the hell is this dinner all about?” Allegedly, they were having a “post wedding dinner celebration” duh duh duh.

So much about the drama stuff… the dinner brought me a nice tour of Miguel’s creations! Undoubtedly, he is the most sought after chef in town! I enjoyed munching his crispy kang-kong. I suggest you try it!

We ended the night with a glass of wine, complements of Miguel and a cup of hot white choco at coffee break san agustin

Bauhinia's Mangga Bongga

After a tiresome thesis defense, we rewarded mr dantes- our guest panelist from manila, a bountiful culinary tour at the posh and everybody's favorite Bauhinia at The Avenue in smallville business complex along diversion road, iloilo.

While doing a run thru of the menu, my attention was caught by "MANGGA BONGGA" one of the most sought after drinks in the resto's bar list. Although the term was catchy and interesting we didn't dare try it because of its alcoholic content, we settled with the Bauhinian iced tea and the rest of the Bauhinian creations - after all our main purpose of going there was to feast with bountiful filipino cuisines and not being drunk.

After our gastronomic delight, we had a walk around the complex and capped the night by a window shopping at off price.

while waiting

while waiting for mr. dantes of STI Fiarview, the three of us had some laughing stuff moments with hmmm hotel guests and some churva paplets

Good Luck STIers 2009

Villa Baybay

I had a post valentine lunch date with my favorite cousin Gerald somewhere at Arevalo beach front. Actually, the meeting was unplanned. It's just that i don't have somebody to accompany me to eat breakfast and lunch and he was the only one who willingly voluntered.

About the food, we had a doze of inihaw na bangus, chicken gizzard, liver, pork and unlimited supply of rice. The refreshing sea breeze and the wonderful sights of colorful paraw, young and old villahanons enjoying the beach made the experience a blog(gable) topic!

I dated my best friend's girlfriend

(Saint) Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14 by many people throughout the world. In the West, it is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, presenting flowers, or offering confectionery. The day was originally a pagan festival that was renamed after two Early Christian martyrs named Valentine. The day became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentine)

About Valentines day, I had this rare opportunity of being with Claribelle - Rodros' girlfriend. We started our V-day with a posh breakfast at the Promenade at Days Hotel, had late afternoon snack/ dinner at Pizza hut at SM City Iloilo, and capped the day with a hot tea break and a cup gellato (pistachio) at Nothing but dessert at smallville.

Padayon ang Istorya with UPV's Sarzuela

Zarzuela (pronounced [θarˈθwela] in Spain, [sarˈswela] in Latin America), is a Spanish lyric-dramatic genre that alternates between spoken and sung scenes, the latter incorporating operatic and popular song, as well as dance. The name derives from a Royal hunting lodge, the Palacio de la Zarzuela near Madrid, where this type of entertainment was first presented to the court.

There are two main forms of zarzuela: Baroque zarzuela (c.1630–1750), the earliest style, and Romantic zarzuela (c.1850–1950), which can be further divided into two. main sub-genres of género grande and género chico although other sub-divisions exist.

Zarzuela spread to the Spanish colonies, and many Hispanic countries - notably Cuba - developed their own traditions. There is also a strong tradition in the Philippines where it is also known as zarzuelta. Other regional and linguistic variants in Iberia include the Basque zartzuela and the Catalan sarsuela. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zarzuela)

Above are personal photos taken after the Ilonggo Zarzuela, a presentation of the UPV thru TAGUPSI Foundation in celebration of the university's Centennial.

Thank God it's Friday season 2 (stereotyping)

The University of San Agustin in celebration of its 105 years of providing excellent education for the common good held a University day. The celebration started with a holy mass at the chapel and it was followed by the opening of a varied choice of fun learning events for the Augustinians. These includes a book launching, a debate series, college salu-salo, fraternity festival, paint ball competition, alternative classes in YOGA, Karate, a modern dance competition and the much awaited TGIF, now in its second year!
TGIF is a runway fashion show organized the USA Supreme student council, and the Tourismo Agostino. It features Augustinian student leaders and other model wannabes to showcase their hidden, newly discovered, talent is sashaying. This was last Thursday at the USA Gymnasium.
oops: the show started a bit late, but thanks to the AVPs, we're a bit entertained.
On a brighter side, TGIF gave me another insight that Augustinians are indeed for all seasons! Being a ramp model is not limited to a selected few. A student leader, a geek, a writer, a debater can be a stunning and great fashion mannequin?!

we painted the town RED

U-day is a time to celebrate hence, i promise myself that on a drizzling Friday night..,
I SHALL PAINT THE TOWN RED!
Indeed, my attempt to paint this side of town red was successful. I was invited my my very loyal and favorite 3i to a late night party at smallville. The bar hopping kicked off at FLOW, followed by a drinking and grooving moments at MO2 ice bar, the Aquarium and a meet and greet drama at the entire MO2 complex, etc etc making the town and all of us RED!!!!!!!!!!. We capped the night with a home sweet home goodbyes blah blah blah. and sicne, we're good painters, we were rewarded a comfy "sleeping quarters" worth a few thousand bucks... nytie nytie... party party... 'till the next paint session!!!

in my dreams...

many thanks to PhotoFunia.com for these wonderful digitally enhanced pictures!
