First, TV is a good source of information. It allows people to have different kinds of information in easy way. For example, people could watch different kinds of programs that let them know different kind of information in different fields such as health, education, technology and so on and so forth. Moreover, TV makes the transformation of information .For instance, just by attach the remote control people could reach information in different languages and about different things ; for that reason television is considered as a revolution in the area of information in the twentieth century.
Besides, television allows people to discover other unknown cultures, traditions, and religions. For example, through some documentary programmes people can discover the culture of the Iskimo community which was unknown for centuries until the TV unveils it and makes it known everywhere and to most people .Moreover, television lets people discover other traditions as in the case of the Indian marriage which was unknown by the Moroccan people until they discovered it through TV movies. In addition, many religions were strange to many people , but through television people discover them and become very familiar with them, such as the way the Indian people worship cows, which was so strange to Muslims ago.
Finally, there is no doubt that entertainment is another distinctive feature behind the discovery of TV. TV has a mysterious ability to entertain people all around the world. through watching movies ,sport or music people could get rid of their daily difficulties at works and enjoy themselves .Also children could get entertain by means of cartoons serials such as mike mouse or comic shows like mister been or children movies such as ‘ allies in the wonderful land’. In today’s world where both father and mother have to work, television plays an even more crucial part because it has to baby-sit children for longer hours, while the parents are away – and while the househelp does other chores. If both parents have to work, either father or mother (or preferably both) should make a list of TV shows the kids can watch – with the guardian seeing to it that it is followed and implemented. And yes, I still believe that TV viewing among kids should be regulated and limited to a certain time – unless, of course, you want to raise your child as a TV critic because to this day I still resent my parents for not allowing me to watch all the shows I wanted to see back then and now I’m having difficulty piecing TV history together. But then, that’s another story. Television taught me values in life – For all the nasty things you can say about TV, I have to come to its defense because not everything that comes out of it is bad. Ever since I was a kid I have always been fascinated by those box-like figures with people moving and talking inside like they were from another world, another dimension. Many years had passed and that silly notion of mine about television comes back to my mind whenever I see one—since it’s very much common to see it anywhere. Its apparent popularity and availability raised some of the people’s views that watching it seems like a waste of time, since many would choose watching T.V. over going outdoors and enjoying the beauty of nature. Well, in my own perspective, I say that watching television is really not a waste of time. I have lived with television most of my life and I can really say that it isn’t a waste of time because television had influenced me a lot. My views, my perspectives, and my beliefs in life are influenced by television in a major way, in a good way. And to clarify some of the people’s notion; maybe It’s not television that’s a waste of time in watching, but some shows just aren’t that worth the time. . .

Some people prefer multitasking rest that is to spend their free time efficiently doing more than one thing at the same time, for instance, we can cook a dinner, watch TV and talk to our family. Watching television is having a fun time but at the same time it's a huge resource of useful information about our planet, people, animals, plants, history and scientific discoveries. Television is a great tool of learning foreign languages. When foreign student watch TV they both enrich their vocabulary and develop their listening skills. So watching television is not a waste of time, it is the process of having a great time.
Nowadays, when you’re feeling down and just utterly bored, there are a number of things that you can do to make you feel better or simply entertain you. Anywhere you may be in this planet, a long list of technology abounds you and is just a touch away. And when we are speaking of mainstream technology that is apparently available in the public; one of the first things that comes to mind is television. Television, often dubbed as “information/entertainment superhighway,” provides an easy outlet for gathering and disseminating information on the double. As widespread and useful television might be, many are saying that it is just a waste of time and energy to sit in front of the boob tube and let moments pass you. How can you say this if information is spoon-fed to you by just sitting comfortably and watching? Is it not that ironic to say useless when we have learned so much from it?

Watching televison is not a waste of time
ReplyDeleteOk lets have a trivia first. Do you know what television means? The first thing that might comes to your mind is it's a electronic device used for entertainment. Technically, the word Television consists of two words, first the word tele w/c means far and then the word vision.
Watching tv is not a waste of time, not at all. No matter what you watch on your tv you'll always get some knowledge from it. Watching tv is like reading a book without actually reading one. I suggest watching informative television shows like the shows from discovery channel or national geographic channel. Let's watch!
Ever since I was a kid I have always been fascinated by those box-like figures with people moving and talking inside like they were from another world, another dimension. Many years had passed and that silly notion of mine about television comes back to my mind whenever I see one—since it’s very much common to see it anywhere. Its apparent popularity and availability raised some of the people’s views that watching it seems like a waste of time, since many would choose watching T.V. over going outdoors and enjoying the beauty of nature. Well, in my own perspective, I say that watching television is really not a waste of time. I have lived with television most of my life and I can really say that it isn’t a waste of time because television had influenced me a lot. My views, my perspectives, and my beliefs in life are influenced by television in a major way, in a good way. And to clarify some of the people’s notion; maybe It’s not television that’s a waste of time in watching, but some shows just aren’t that worth the time. . .
