Patience or else you'll end up a patient!!!

BEING A PARENT IS NO JOKE! These were the very words I told my friends, after a close encounter slash babysitting role I assume with Yani - Grace and Ryan's only son!

My being "pseudo-mom" last night at Robinsons Place Iloilo was an insightfull experience. Insightfull in a way that, the experience gave me several realizations...

For one, a child will always be outspoken and sincere, a reflected in his words of wisdom. I remeber Yani yealling "Tita Lloyd @#$%^&!, Tita Noel @#$%^&*, Lola Ronnie @#$%^&*, Tita Marge, MONSTER! For others, these things may cause them a heart attack or trauma, but for an innocent child, those were just words of endearment!

Second, the joy and the feeling of being complete as you observe your offspring grow. Having a kid is one fulfilling moment of being a parent. That's why I congratulate Grace and Ryan for having one! PS. tani may sequel na si Yani... LOL

Third, after that sense of completeness, rearing a child requires patience and more patience, because if you dont have patience, you'll end up as a patient in a hospital.LOL. Toddlers are free spirited, they have these characteristics of being spontaneous in anything they do, be it cognitive - asking you curious questions; psychomotor - all those tiring physical activities; and affectve - he always want to be cuddled, carried, hugs, etc, etc. grrrrrr.........

To sum it up, my experience was a wake up call for me, that indeed, when we were kids we were "headaches" to others especially to all parents, but these "headaches" as the same memories they always look forward everytime they have moments with us!!!

CHEERS to our CHILDHOOD YEARS!!!
